Reps. Allyson Schwartz (D-Pa.) and Jo Heck (R-Nev.) introduced legislation in the House that would permanently repeal Medicare’s Sustainable Growth Rate formula and replace it with a new system of payment models. Why are some networks of community oncology practices and hospitals more successful in enrolling patients on clinical trials than others? To try to answer that question, researchers from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Cancer Institute examined the design features of networks that in 2010 were consistently associated with high levels of enrollment onto National Cancer Institute cancer treatment trials.
